The largest amphitheater in Orange County, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, is located in Irvine. You can also visit the University of California-Irvine Arboretum.

The Heritage Park in Irvine contains many different amenities, such as pools, basketball courts, and an amphitheater. The William R. Mason Regional Park contains 345 acres of open spaces, grassy knolls, a 9-acre lake, and other natural areas, and is one of the largest parks in Irvine. Also, the Orange County Great Park is in development in what was previously the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, and will be a mix of wilderness parks, developed parks, schools, residential and business areas, farms, and museums.
